Never have too wait long, if ever for a park down stairs. Travellator and lifts make access easy from the carpark. There are peak trading times but the waiting time in queues, when they occur (which isn't often), is quick. The staff are always ready to help when needed. This would be one of the largest and therefore well stocked stores in the franchise. Possibly the best Coles in Melbourne
Coles corporate needs to pull their heads out of their backsides. Quiet night, trolley full of groceries at the self serve checkout and the young lad is accusing me for not paying. And the security person is hovering around me. Tsk tsk
I have been a Brighton local for ten years and have shopped at bay street coles since it opened however in the last month or two they have employed a foreign security guard with absolutely no people skills or awareness of the community he is serving. As per the review below I too was followed around the store with my trolley doing my routine grocery shop and felt very uncomfortable then I couldn’t get out the new glass barriers they have installed (trust me if this were in Dandenong a trolley would have been angrily smashed through there by now) security had to nod to the attendant to let me out. What have we Come to here? I know food prices have become very unaffordable but the other two supermarkets in the area do not carry on like this.
Very low on stock and variety. Virtually all Coles brands now. I have been unable to source goods so many times that I have now moved to shopping at Woolworths on Church St despite it requiring me to drive, when Coles is just around the corner. Poorly run store.
Followed around the store like I was a thief. I've been shopping there for 2 years and honestly didn't recognize the guy. Pretty blatant with it too. So rude! Went back and still got followed but it was much less intrusive. So thanks Coles

Has many of your common food features and non-food items that are standard. Priced better than the local small quick shops.
Many items missing in Pandemic Lockdowns hv not been restocked. Branded biscuit choice is extremely limited - Arnott's is not the only biscuit manufacturer in Australia. "Bakery" biscuits are sickly sweet, Coles' Anzac biscuits are extremely sugary
Roast section does not hv Roast Beef very often - staff choose if THEY want to sell it, not the paying customers - no Rst Beef available at any visit over 3 months even though advertised.
Told that the manager does not order stock, and the staff do not bother to utilise it regardless how many times customers are left without product.
Breads and Roasts are buried at the back of store which wastes customer time.
A great Coles, very large and has lots of things that I like to purchase such as "Oak Chocolate" in the 750ml variety and "Mr D's Blue Lemonade" that I had never seen before and had to try it out just for how absurd it was. Point is, a huge Coles with all the essentials.
My friend brought a bag of roast beef from this coles.
He hadn’t eaten any food since 6pm night before ate this at 12pm.
An hour after eating this beef he was feeling so sick had to get an ambulance to hospital he was there for the rest of the day and till 9pm at night.
Contacted coles no satisfaction they just wiped there hands with it gave them the medical report from hospital.
Never coming back to this coles again you get sick of there food and they use every excuse to get out of any liability
Coles putting our farmers out. Of business . Bought zucchini’s yesterday for $ 6.90 a kilo . They are paying farmers $2.20 per kilo after months of work . Disgraceful price gouging . Putting farmers out of business !! Destroying our food chain!!
